"Minions & Monsters" is set in 1920s Los Angeles, during the early days of Hollywood, and serves as a prequel to the previous Minions films. The story follows a separate tribe of Minions (not Gru’s usual trio) as they attempt to break into the film industry and become movie stars. Initially working as extras on film sets, the Minions decide to create their own monster movie to showcase their talents.
